Camps That Rock is a dynamic umbrella program offering children enriching, fun-filled experiences in academics, arts, and entertainment. Each camp is uniquely designed to inspire, educate, and empower youth through dance, fitness, math enrichment, and creative expression.
Founded by Shari E. Smith, a passionate educator, artist, and mentor, Camps That Rock is more than just summer fun — it’s a launchpad for confidence, talent, and academic growth.
🎤 Meet the Founder: Shari E. Smith
With a dual passion for dance and math, Shari Smith has spent her life turning her talents into transformative experiences for children. A Detroit native and daughter of a math teacher, Shari was immersed in numbers and rhythm from a young age. She began formal dance training at age 6 and later graced local runways, magazines, and talent stages.
A graduate of Tuskegee University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Shari spent several years in corporate America before pursuing her purpose full-time. She’s since launched successful ventures, including:
Shari’s work included choreography, artist development, and talent show production for both local and national talent and marketing for major labels representing artists such as Destiny’s Child, Bow Wow, John Legend, and more.
Now based in Atlanta, Shari continues to merge her love of learning and the arts to impact the next generation.

Fun, engaging, and results-driven tutoring for all levels — from elementary to high school math. Students improve skills, build confidence, and even learn to love math!
💃 I Am Dance. I Am Fitness., LLC
Originally launched as I Am Dance, this program now includes a full spectrum of dance and fitness instruction for youth and adults. With roots in jazz, hip-hop, African, and modern dance, Shari also provides choreography and artist development for aspiring performers.

Seasonal camps (summer, fall, winter, spring, and semester breaks) that combine STEM, math, dance, and creative arts in a high-energy environment. Each camp fosters confidence, creativity, and community.
